Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort located in Whistler, B.C has over 8,100 skiable acres located on one vertical mile over two massive mountains.  Together the mountains of Whistler Blackcomb have more than 200 trials and 38 lifts.  With many great accomodations this is defiantly a recommended ski/snowboard vacation get away. However, if skiing or snowboarding isn’t your thing the mountains also have a wide variety of other activities throughout all the seasons such as hiking, beautiful sightseeing, and mountain biking.  Whistler Blackcomb will also be the host of many venues for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Whistler will be welcoming many countries from across the world for the 2010 Winter Olympics.  Preparation for the event has already begun as the venues are being developed and the conduction of various test events will begin to take place. Many Alpine Skiing events will be held on Whistler Mountain; Bobsled, Luge and Skeleton events at the Sliding Centre on Blackcomb Mountain; and Nordic, Biathlon & Ski Jumping Competition events in the Callahan Valley.
